Daughter of William Redford Lovell, bp. N.C. & Eliza (Reeves) Lovell, bp. N.C.

Mary was born in Salem, N. C. She lived at Rt. 3 at Nevada, MO. She died at Nevada State Hospital #3 after an eighteen day stay at 11 a.m. She died from Chronic Myocardial Insuffiency and Senility.


1) Mary Rebecca Carmichael Lovill Freeman Marion [Memorial# 26058450] had two husbands. She first married Nicholas Mosely Freeman (1838-1905) on 23 Nov 1875 in Johnson County, Missouri. They had one daughter, Myrta Lovill Freeman (1877-1956), born 15 Oct 1877 in Richards, MO.

2) She married Lewis Marion Freeman (1841-1925) on 8 Jan 1908 in Forsyth County,NC. They had no children. However, Lewis had children by his deceased wife Mildred Virginia Nutt (1838-1902).

3) Mary Rebecca Carmichael Lovill is listed in the 1850 US Census of Surry County, NC. 5)Her older brothers Henry Poindexter Lovill (1838-1926) and Edward Francis Lovill (1842-1925) were officers in the Confederate army during the Civil War. Her father was the Doorman at the NC Confederate legislature. After the war they relocated to Johnson County, MO about 1866 and on to Vernon County, MO about 1877. When she left with the family, she left behind her "sweetheart' Lewis Marion Freeman.
