Ruth Marlene Dickinson, 82, of Derby, Kansas, died peacefully at her home on Friday (October 6, 2023).
Ruth was born on July 13th, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia, the oldest daughter of Mildred Alice and E.W. Longino. After graduating from Hapeville High School in 1959 she attended Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, Georgia.
After college she married and moved to Wichita, Kansas to work in the aircraft industry. She later re-married and both her and her husband, Charles Dickinson, both enjoyed spending time with each other and with friends. On most Saturday evenings she could be found dancing with Charles at the V.F.W. Hall. She retired from Boeing Aircraft in 2004.
She was an avid reader and loved growing flowers and tending her gardens. She also enjoyed time spent playing computer games and sharing recipes with her family and friends.
