David Hunt Obituary
David "Pops" Hunt Born Dec. 14, 1927 in Walla Walla, Wash. to Harry and Florence Hunt. He passed unexpectedly on March 6, 2008 while working in his yard in Shelton. He is survived be his most beloved wife of 59 years, Violet Hunt.

He was raised in Grandview, Idaho. They moved to Yakima, Boise, Spokane (had a cabin in Spirit Lake, Idaho), Mossyrock and finally to Shelton. He was in the army from Nov. 46' to April '48, as an M.P., and then worked for Hanford for four years, He retired from N.W. Airlines after 32 years of airline service. He was known to most of his co-workers and friends as "Pops". He was a loving man, full of integrity, always helping others, building something or talking to you about life. You could always count on him for good advice, and complete honesty. He loves to build and do carpentry work, landscape, gardening, woodcarving, camping and traveling and anything to do with the outdoors. He was a self taught man. But most of all he LOVED his family and friends.

He is also survived by three daughters, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, two sisters and one grandchild. David touched each life in some wonderful way. He was our friend, our rock and our confidante. He was a wonderful, loving man who will be deeply missed and always in our hearts. We love you Papa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the David Hunt Memorial Fund at any Bank of America. Celebration of his life will be hold in Yakima, Wash., on June 21, 2008 at Ahtanum Youth Park.
