Elsie Louise Jenkins, 84, of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday October 10, 2023 at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown.
She was born in Hardin County to Everett and Mayme Taylor Jaggers. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her Father and Mother, a daughter Janet Adams Bryant, a great-granddaughter Cora Jean Dillman and a brother Everett Lee Jaggers.
She is survived by her loving husband James R. Jenkins of Elizabethtown, a son Ritchie (Jennifer) Jenkins of Elizabethtown, two daughters Sherry (Rick) Glisson of Louisville and Vicki Abshire of Elizabethtown, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters Albirda Isom of Louisville and Patsy Lynn of Elizabethtown.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Rev. Zach Burke officiating. Burial will be held at the Glendale Christian Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday October 16, 2023 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

Louise played the accordion, traveled and sang with her sister Albirda when they were teenagers, with Evangelist L.G. Hoover (memorial # 93636837) and wife., Lenora. They traveled in the U.S. and Mexico, singing in tent revivals and churches.
Louise was first married to James Rogel Adams of Hartwell GA.
