Gerald Andrew "Drew" Roll was born on November 29, 1960, in Oklahoma City, OK, and died on September 3, 2023, in Houston, TX, following a short hospital stay.

Drew was preceded in death by his parents, Marcia Ellen Roll (nee Buck) and Gerald "Gerry" Roll, of Oklahoma City, OK, and his siblings, Mark O'Roke and Elizabeth Kramer, of Montgomery, TX.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Jerri O'Roke, nieces Erin and Kelly O'Roke, Kim Boyd, and Andrea Kramer, numerous grand-nieces and nephews, and friends near and far. The family would like to give special thanks to friend Jim Atkinson, of Montgomery, TX, who was a true and loyal friend to Drew at the end.

Drew was a collector and admirer of antiques. He loved classic cars and restored many during his lifetime, including a green 1953 Packard Clipper that he drove cross-country and a 1959 Rambler American that he was working on at the time of his death.

Drew was also proud of his extensive collection of "stinky old paper"—vintage art prints and advertisements from turn-of-the-century journals that offered a glamorous and often funny glimpse into America's past.

When he wasn't collecting, Drew loved riding Harleys and could pass as a "scary old biker" if you didn't know better.

A jokester and loyal friend, Drew followed his path out west to Burien, WA, in the 1980s, where he lived for the better part of three decades before moving to TX to be closer to family. Drew made many life-long friends in WA, whom he loved and missed greatly after moving away.

Drew struggled with his health in his last years, but he had few regrets. And though he liked to refer to himself as a "rusty, broken-down pile of crap," he did so with a twinkle in his eye, knowing he had lived life fully. May we all be able to say the same.
