Sorrowing Friends and Relatives Pay Last Respects To Don Roberts of Glines.

The funeral services of Don Roberts of Glines who passed away on July 25th at Rocky Ford Hospital in Colorado were held in the Glines Chapel July 30 with Bishop John B. Paton presiding. The Naples quartet, composed of Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Manwaring, Earl Goodrich and Ina Chivers, sang "Every Hour I Need Thy Blessing Father", prayer was offered by President Ernest Paton, song "The Lord Is My Shepherd."

The speakers were Joseph A. McKee and Congressman Don B. Colton who offered words of consolation. A duet, "Home", was rendered by LaVell Manwaring and Earl Goodrich. Closing song by quartet was "Lead Me Gently Home Father." Benediction was pronounced by A.G. Goodrich. Interment was made in the Vernal cemetery with Edward Watkins Sr., dedicating the grave.

The deceased is survived by a wife and the following children: Carl, Ray, Mark, Helen, Merle and Vern, and brothers and sisters, to mourn his loss.

Don Roberts was born at Mona, Utah, May 22, 1886 and is the 12th child of Ephraim H. and Emma Bell Roberts. Don came to Naples when a boy and was educated in the district school of Naples, the Uintah Academy and BYU at Provo.

He married Melva Glines September, 1909 and have since resided in the Glines Ward. Early this spring, Mr. Roberts went to Colorado to shear sheep and was taken ill with acute appendicitis. He was taken at once to Rocky Ford Hospital where everything possible was done for him the two months he was there.

Death claimed him July 25. His brother, Myron, was with him at the time of his death and brought the body home for burial.

The following relatives from outside points attended the funeral. Andrew Roberts and son, Leonard, of Salt Lake City, Allie P. Roberts of Price, a nephew of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Rollins of Altera, George Roberts of Cedar View, Mrs. Silva Allred of Gusher.
