She was born November 14, 1905 in Randolph Township, a daughter of Fred and Maggie Rush DeMaison. She married Charles Schweitzer June 22, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1958.
She worked at Crawford Store for 14 ½ years and then worked as a licensed practical nurse in the recovery room at the former Spencer Hospital for 12 years.
She was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Richardson and her husband Lawrence o Cambridge Springs, Joanne Walls and her husband Jerry of Meadville and Peg Lilly and her husband William of Conneaut, Ohio; a son, Clair Schweitzer and his wife Shirley of Meadville; 19 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and a brother, Roy DeMaison of Frenchtown. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Nancy Hope; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter DeMaison and Dorrance DeMaison; and a sister Neva Parker.
A calling time will be Friday from 11:30 a.m. to noon at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home Inc., 581 Chestnut St., Meadville. The funeral will follow at noon at the funeral home, with the Rev. Henry J. Schauerman officiating.
Burial will be in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville, PA 16335
