After high school, Clyde proudly served his country. He served in Vietnam with the United States Army. While in Vietnam, Clyde met Thung Le and the two were married in Vietnam in July of 1972. In July of 1973, the couple moved to the United States and made their home in Oklahoma. Clyde was passionate about his military service. He was a dedicated advocate for veterans, especially disabled veterans. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the Disabled Veterans Association (DVA), Vietnam Veterans Association and many others.
Clyde loved farming and tending to his large garden. His greatest passion was his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of more than 48 years, Thung Thi Stone; his sister-in-law, Wanda Stone and brother-in-law, Roy Lee Hilburn.
He is survived by his, daughter, Kimberlee Rohling and her husband Kelly; two sons, Keven Stone and his wife Elizabeth and John Stone and his wife, Kate; grandchildren, Christina Horne and her husband Thomas, Keven Stone II and his wife June, C.J. Stone, Kyle Stone and his wife Shaun, Alexis Sealock and her husband Hunter and Kellie Bierd and her husband, Bob; two brothers, Ralph Stone and Lloyd Stone and his wife, Darla and one sister, Bobbie Hilburn. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and host of family and friends.
