James "Jimmy" Acton Elmore, Jr., passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Hosparus Health Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born July 13, 1960 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late James A. Elmore, Sr. and Virginia Mae Shaw Cox. Jimmy worked in construction doing drywalling and was of the Baptist faith. He was nicknamed "Booger" and loved the Wildcats, fishing, listening to music, horses, shooting pool, and eating any kind of BBQ. Jimmy loved his family more than anything and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his two daughters, Laura Beth Elmore, Ashley Nicole Estes (Justin) and ten grandchildren, Harley, Haiden, Daniel, Khloe, Haisleigh, Justin Jr., Ryder, Ember, Diesel, and one precious grand on the way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Gary J. Elmore and Donald Lee Elmore, Sr.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to aid in funeral expenses.

The funeral service for Mr. Elmore will be held 3:00 PM Monday, October 9th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
