Funeral services were held for Drucilla Reisenauer of Wadena, MN on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, rural New York Mills, MN. Services were officiated by Mike Nelson and Philip Kolhonen Sr.
Drucilla was born on June 21, 1938 at home in Newton Township, Ottertail County, rural New York Mills, MN. Her parents were the late Philip A. and Senia (Pesola) Koljonen.
Drucilla grew up on the family farm in Newton Township, graduating from New York Mills High School with the class of 1956. She married Gilbert Barker, their marriage was blessed with three children. They enjoyed traveling and Drucilla was employed as a waitress.
In 1970, Drucilla met Lawrence Reisenauer in Bowman, North Dakota, the moved to Plummer, MN for a short time where they farmed. Moving to Crosby, North Dakota, Drucilla and Lawrence owned and operated a motel and supper club for seven years. In 1981 Drucilla and Lawrence were united in marriage. Their marriage was blessed with one child.
In 2000, Drucilla and Lawrence made their home in Wadena, Minnesota. Drucilla enjoyed handwork, whether it was working with crafts, needlework, sewing, gardening, flowers or her plants. She also loved all the holidays, playing music and singing.
