Bessie Kincheole Childre 85 passed away at Hamilton July 17, 2003. Funeral services were held Sunday July 20, 2003 at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Hurst Ranch Cemetery at Star.

She was born August 21, 1917 in Hamilton, the daughter of Presley and Tennie Stewart Kincheole.

She was married to Marshall D. Children on April 21, 1939. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1997.

Mrs. Childre was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a seamstress, and while they were living in Odessa she worked in a pie shop and the Derring Convalescent Home. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three children, Marcelle Hinrichs of Sun City Calif., Doyce Childre, Roger Childre, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
