ABBEVILLE SC - Clyde W. 'Ram' Blanchett, 85, of Abbeville, husband of Annette Wright Blanchett, died September 13, 2023 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. He was born in Abbeville to the late Clyde D. and Eva Mae 'Pansy' Nixon Blanchett. A 1956 graduate of Abbeville High School, Clyde also attended Clemson University, where he received his egg grading certificate while raising chickens. For many years, he was employed with General Cable, along with owning and operating Rams Place in Abbeville. A member of Grace United Methodist Church, Clyde enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin, Jimmie, and Richard Blanchett and Jim Beauford; a sister, Annette Rearden; a granddaughter, Dayton Sellers; and a son-in-law, Robert Mobley, Jr. Clyde is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annette, of the home; three daughters, Belinda Sellers (Kevin) of Donalds, Dana Clinkscales (Jack) of Honea Path, and Dawn Mobley of Anderson; seven grandchildren; Brad, Joseph, Justin, Devin, Kortney, Dustin, and Jena; eight great-grandchildren; and nine nieces and nephews.
