"Miss Kimberly Renee Benefield, 6-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Benefield, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson where she had been a patient for three days. A lifelong resident of Gulfport, she attended North Central Elementary School and attended the Community Baptist Church on Landon Road. She was born Oct. 6, 1970, in Gulfport. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Norman Lunning, Davenport, Iowa; her maternal grandfather, Gordon LaMont, Grenada, Minn.; her maternal great grandmother, Mrs. Lucille Spencer, Alden, Minn., and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. W. T. Benefield, Gulfport. Friends may call from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Riemann Funeral Home in Gulfport where the funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from the chapel with the Rev. R. K. Smith, pastor of the Community Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery."
