Chris Pistoresi, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 after a short, but fierce battle with cancer.

A lifelong Maderan, Chris was born on December 24, 1950, to Emilio and Mary Alice Pistoresi. On August 17, 1974, he married the love and light of his life, Pam Henderson. They raised two sons, Joey and Keith.

Chris attended local schools and graduated from Madera High School in 1969. He went on to attend Fresno City College and Fresno State University. Chris spent the majority of his professional career working for, then helming the family business, Pistoresi Motors.

Having grown up in the car business, Chris naturally loved cars. He was most in his element around MOPAR muscle cars, classic Hot Rods, and everything in between, before and beyond. He loved restoring classic automobiles. For years, he was easily recognizable on Madera roads in his fully restored and pristine, red 1964 Plymouth Valiant convertible. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, which he built, restored, and rode in his younger days.

Chris was a member of Jokers Bay Area Car Club and the Italo-American Club of Madera.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pam; his son Joey and wife, Ali; his son, Keith; grandchildren, Luca and Nico Pistoresi; his brother, Michael and wife, Renee; brother-in-law, Roger Henderson and wife, Stacey; his nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends - all of whom he loved and touched deeply.

His life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 – "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Chris' name to Hinds Hospice or The American Cancer Society.
