Horace Carpenter
ELWOOD – Horace A. Carpenter, 58, Rt. 1 Windfall, died at his home Sunday morning.
A native of Elwood, he was a farmer, and was formerly employed by the Continental Can Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two children, Mrs. Susan Green of Lafayette and Miss Nancy Carpenter, at home; his mother, Mrs. Lessie (Alexander) Carpenter of Elwood; two brothers, Harold and Ralph Carpenter, and one sister, Mrs. Carol Kleyla, all of Elwood.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home with the Rev. Marion McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. today at the mortuary.
