LuJean Mary (Peterson) Meyer, 86, of Brainerd, passed away at her home on Friday, September 29, 2023. LuJean was born October 21, 1936, in St. Paul, the daughter of Walter and Dornell (DeLore) Peterson. She met the love of her life - Bob Meyer - in high school. After graduation, LuJean continued her education at Hamline before being accepted in the prestigious Asbery Nursing School. She used her skills at a variety of hospitals, including St. Joseph's Medical Center, as well as nursing homes like Good Samaritan Society - Bethany.

After retiring, she took on the role of helping to manage Bob's architectural firm for ten years. She was a hard worker who appreciated learning. She never stopped devouring books or seeking more knowledge. LuJean liked to listen to music and spent many hours cross-stitching. She had a caring, loving heart. LuJean was a supportive mother who encouraged her boys to spread their wings and fly. She adored her grandchildren and cherished her time with them. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bob; son, Rick (Cathy) Meyer; daughter-in-law, Michelle Meyer; grandchildren, Jake (Alexa) Meyer, Jenna Meyer, Ryan (Britt) Cameron, and Jessica (Chris) Edmundson; greatgrandchildren, Colt and Clay Cameron; and brother, Roger (Jaci) Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ron; parents; and sister, Donna.

A Celebration of LuJean's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 6 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Nelson - Doran Funeral Home
