Thomas Bennett Bechtold, age 69, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023. Tom was born on an Air Force base on December 28, 1953 in Spokane, Washington and lived in Okinawa, Japan, Marietta GA and Ft Worth Texas before settling down in Nashville where he met the love of his life. Tom loved to travel and spend time with his grandkids and was a master of the grill. He worked in the trucking industry.
He was preceded in death by his wife Kathy Bechtold, his mother and stepfather Beverly and Larry Hall and by his father Wilbur Bechtold and his brother Charlie Bechtold.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Beverly and David Biele, by his grandchildren Gunner, Mia, Elsa, Wally and Leena Jo, brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Pam Bechtold, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim Baltz, Mark Baltz, Mickey (Tina) Baltz, Loretta Baltz, Denise (Thaxton) Petty, Rita (Mike) Denamur, Judy Baltz, Connie Baltz and best friends Wayne and Linda Gay.
A gathering of family & friends for Thomas will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN 37214. Following the gathering of family & friends there will be a graveside service at 3:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery, 1001 Lebanon Pike, Nashville, TN 37210.
