Shirley A. McQuillen, 81, of Monroeville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 25, 2023.

She was born on May 23, 1942, to Merval Sr. and Zenith (Kegley) Adkins in Shelby, Ohio and attended Shelby High School. Shirley was a member of the Congregational Community UCC in Monroeville and the Monroeville American Legion Auxiliary, Post 547, and she also attended Calvary Baptist Church in Norwalk. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, puzzles, baking, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three sons, Michael (Melaney) McQuillen of Monroeville, Brad (Angie) McQuillen and Randy (Christina) McQuillen, both of Norwalk; eight grandchildren, three great granddaughters, three brothers, Terry (Dian) Adkins of Shelby, Steve (Loretta) Adkins of Deltona, Florida, and John (Patricia) Adkins of Mansfield; one sister-in-law, Debbie Adkins; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. McQuillen in 2017; one grandson, one great grandson; her parents, and two brothers, Merval Lee Adkins, Jr. and Scott Adkins.

Friends may call from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Shirley's funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the funeral home. Pastor Joe Grof will officiate. The burial will be in Adario Cemetery.
