Charles Henry Ferdinand Cook of Spring Branch, Texas was born on July 26, 1931 in Sabinal, Texas and passed away on May 29, 2023 at the age of 91.
Throughout his early life, Charles lived in Sabinal, San Antonio, Somerset, and Batesville, Texas. In his early teens Mr. Cook became the family supporter as his father went blind. The family eventually settled in Knippa, Texas. Charles operated a mechanic and welding shop which also offered wrecker services for the Uvalde Co. area. He worked for over 45 years as a Custodian of the Knippa Water Supply Corp, while serving as a member of the Knippa Volunteer Fire Department. Charles also served multiple terms on the school board for Knippa ISD.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents Charles Louis Cook and Dolly Belle Santleben. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Verhey and husband Eddie, two granddaughters, Amanda and Emily, along with numerous cousins.
The family is requesting any donations be made in Charles memory to Knippa Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of your choice.
