Charles Thomas Capps was born August 1, 1921, in Dickson County. Thomas joined the Army, August 1942 and became a sergeant. He was serving overseas when, due to an illness, had to be flown from Paris, France, to Kennedy General Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He died on March 25, 1946. He is buried in Union Cemetery, Dickson, Tennessee.
