Samuel J. Abraham Jr., 82, died in Overlook Medical Clinic, New Wilmington, PA.

Parents: Samuel J. Sr. and Jennie Joseph Abraham.

Wife: Naomi "Sue" Kennedy, married on April 30, 1955.

He was a retired environmental engineer for LTV Steel Corp. of Youngstown, Ohio. A Coast Guard veteran, he served during World War II. He was former chairman of the New Castle Sanitation Authority and past member of the New Castle Redevelopment Authority. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and St. Elias Orthodox Church, where he was past chairman of the parish council.

Relatives: a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Robert Price of New Castle; three sons, Samuel Abraham III, Marshall Abraham and Robert Abraham, all of New Castle; a sister, Renee Warren of San Diego; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Julie McMillan; and two brothers, Marshall Abraham and Abe Abraham.
