WARREN — Richard E. Blair, 65, a lifelong area resident, passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.

He was born Sept. 4, 1958, in Warren, the son of Richard C. and Val Jean (Novelli) Blair.

Richard was a 1977 graduate of Howland High School and had worked in several area bakeries.

He was of the Christian faith.

He enjoyed classic cars, rock and roll, sports, collecting L.P. albums, and watching sports, especially the Browns and the Indians.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Val Jean and Richard, and his devoted stepfather, Jack Marmion, who helped raise him since he was 12 years of age. They are having a joyous reunion.

He leaves his surviving immediate family of his sister Valarie Rizzo (Arthur) of Warren; two nephews, Brian Rizzo of Warren and Daniel Rizzo (Janette) of Tampa, Fla.; multiple great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins and other extended family members. He also had a host of lifelong friends who meant the world to him and offered him much support.

Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.

Services will conclude with interment at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, material contributions may be made either to Valley Counseling in Warren or the Richard C. Blair Scholarship Fund, c/o McDonald High School, 600 Iowa Ave., McDonald, OH 44437.
