"Little George Hayes's" mother (1st cousin of Betty's daddy)sent a suggestion for names to be Bessie Lessie & Lessie Bessie. Someone else suggested Lucille and Voncille. Older sister, Ann, pitched a fit against these suggestions, and her mother asked, "What do you suggest?" Ann: "I don't know...something like Betty & Brenda." Betty became her momma's favorite & Brenda her daddy's favorite...her daddy often calling her "Bingo". In church, school, and the Lexington community, they are know as "The Drafts Twins".
