*Chico Chronicle Record Saturday, March 30, 1895: "Called Beyond. Mrs. Nancy Epperson, one of the beloved old ladies of Butte county was called to her final home yesterday afternoon, her death occurring at the family residence at Durham.

Her husband died many years ago, and Mrs. Epperson has made her home with her children, several of whom reside at Durham.

Deceased was a native of Kentucky, aged 81 years. The funeral service will take place at the family residence to-morrow at 10 o'clock, and the interment will be in the Durham cemetery."
