Chico Enterprise-Record, Monday, March 27, 1950: "Henrietta Busard Taken by Death. Mrs. Henrietta Busard, 70, died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Oroville Saturday afternoon after an illness of three months.

She has been a resident of Chico for the past 30 years. She was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on August 3, 1879, where she received her schooling and grew to womanhood. It was here also that she was married to Harry R. Busard in 1906. They moved to Chico in 1920, where she has made her home since.

Some time before going to the hospital she made her home with friends, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Prieheim, on East Eighth Avenue. She belonged to the Chico Burial Society. Surviving besides her husband is a sister, Mrs. Pete Bechert, of Fort Madison, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the Huddleston Funeral Chapel Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock, with Rev. William O'Toole of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be in the Burial Society Cemetery."

Funeral services for Henrietta Busard will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock in the Huddleston Funeral Chapel with Rev. William O'Toole, of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Burial Society Cemetery."

Chico Enterprise-Record, Wednesday, March 29, 1950: "Busard Funeral Service Conducted Here Today. Funeral services for Henrietta Busard were held this morning at 11 o'clock in the Huddleston Funeral Chapel with Rev. William O'Toole, of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church officiating. Marie Erwin played sacred selections on the chapel organ. Casketbearers were Fred Prieheim, Charles Colwell, Boyd Grover, and Otis Kimbrel. Interment was in the Society cemetery."

From the Death Certificate on file with the State of California: The daughter of John and Frances (Trainer) Webkes, both born in Germany. A widow at the time of her death, Mrs. Busard had resided in Butte County for the past 10 years.

From Records consulted, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Chico, California: Henriette Busard, age 71, was buried by Father W. O'Toole on March 30, 1950 at Butte Creek Cemetery, no Sacraments were conferred.
