Charles "Wayne" Ford, born June 3, 1944, went home to Heaven on September 25, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital surrounded by family.

Wayne was the son of the late John and Mamie (Mann) Ford of Annapolis, Missouri. Wayne is survived by his wife Evelyn Marie England (High School Sweetheart) and best friends, and three daughters, Evelyn Yvonne Pyla (Paul), McKinney TX; Vickie Lee Covert (Patrick), Ellisville MO; and Daina Marie Rogers (Larry) of Gray Summit, MO; nine grandchildren: Lauren Dale Callow (William) of Pacific MO; Mary Catherine Watts (Kyle) of Fort Collins, CO; Ellen Grace Rogers (fiancé Matthew O'Connell) of St. Louis MO; Daniel Patrick Covert of Ellisville MO; Caroline Marie Rogers of Gray Summit MO; Lydia Alexandra Pyla of McKinney TX; Jack Ford Covert of Ellisville, MO; Anna Rose Rogers of Gray Summit MO; Jacqueline Marie Pyla of McKinney TX; and two great-grandsons, Landon and Warner Callow.

Wayne is survived by sisters Carmen Rudanovich, of Arnold MO, Eunisa Bond, of Centralia IL and Lana Gaston of Niantic CT; one brother John Ford and his wife Betty, of Annapolis, MO; sister-in-law Beth England of Ironton, MO; mother-in-law Betty England of Desloge, MO; and brother-in-law Charles England of Park Hills, MO; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was preceded in death by sisters Darretta Ann Ford, Elvera Creek, Judy Ford, and Carnelia Lueddecke; three brothers Delian Ford, Donald Ford and Darwin Ford; sisters-in-law Leota Ford, Kathy Smith and Barbara England; father-in-law Alfred England; brothers-in-law Carmen Durso, Dan Rudanovich, William Bond, Marvin Lueddecke and Darrell England.

Wayne was an insurance agent with Farmers Insurance Group for 44 years, retiring in 2009. Wayne, at the age of 21, was the youngest agent ever hired by Farmers Insurance Group. He enjoyed traveling, listening to music, good food (especially malts), basketball and many outdoor activities such as chopping wood.

He attended every single athletic event his daughters participated in (basketball, volleyball and diving), as well as attending numerous athletic events for his grandchildren and great-grands. He especially enjoyed large holiday gatherings with his family.

He was a good man!

Services: Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Interment Annapolis City Cemetery, Annapolis, MO on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
