Our beautiful dreamer Lue Ann's love of life did not end with her sudden passing on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the age of 68; It simply transcends time within the arms of her Heavenly Father. Lue Ann Avery was the daughter of Paul Edgar and Devola Mae Avery (McConnell) and sister to Donnie Paul Avery and Patsy Michelle Watson (Avery) – all of whom rest high alongside her today.

Lue Ann was a creative artist, gardener, and animal advocate. The absolute simplest pleasures in her life brought her the utmost joy. She would share every "old school" medical remedy, botany trick or pet care tip with her loved ones or anyone she encountered that was in need of friendly advice. And her tricks worked! Her heart was huge, too large sometimes, but no one would ever say that Lue Ann did not exude love. Her laugh and personality were extremely contagious, and she will be deeply missed.

Lue Ann's pride was in her family; she was known as 'Gooma' by many, but especially to her grands – she is survived by her daughter, Danna Swindell and Tim; son Dustin Sparkman and Tammy; grandson Trevor Osborne and Erica; Granddaughters Brittany Henderson and Paislee Sparkman; niece Harlea Wood and Hunter; great nieces Harper and Henley Wood; extended grandsons Christopher Swindell & Amy; Andrew Swindell and Alex; extended great-grandson Owen Swindell and extended great-granddaughters Lucy, Liv, Sunday and Olivia Swindell; special friend David DeLisse and numerous cousins and other extended family members that she dearly loved.

Family night will be Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Cooper Sorrell's Funeral Home in Bonham, Tx and graveside services will be Friday, April 7, 2023 at 2:00PM at Gum Springs Cemetery in Carson, Tx.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the ASPCA

"…but the Raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only that one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour. Nothing farther then he uttered – not a feather then he fluttered – till I scarcely more than muttered "Other friends have flown before – On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before." Then, the bird said "Nevermore".

– Edgar Allan Poe
