Funeral services were held here this afternoon, Deember 28, 1953, for Ara A. Decker, 81, who died at his home in the Clear creek area from a heart attack shortly after he had eaten his Christmas dinner. Services were held from the Trenary chapel. Burial was a Pine Grove cemetery at Kooskia.
Mr. Decker had resided in the area since 1902, coming here from Michigan, where he was born January 20, 1872.
He is survived by two brothers, Bert and John Decker, both of Kelso, Wash., and three sisters, Mrs. Mae Tollefson and Mrs. Julia Bibb, both of Kelso, and Mrs. Jennie Litherland, St. Helens, Ore.
