Velma Holt Gladwell, age 80, of Greeneville, died Sunday at Signature Healthcare.
She was a graduate of Bulls Gap High School and a former homemaker.
Velma enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and sewing, and was an avid reader.
Born June 3, 1943, Velma was the daughter of the late Edgar Holt, Sr. and Cecil Hill Holt.
She was proceeded in death by her brothers Robert Holt, A.J. Holt, and James "Froggie" Holt; sister Ruby Armstrong; and son Michael Gladwell.
Survivors include: her husband of 62 years, Marvin Jr.; son Lee Gladwell (Vivian) of Greeneville; daughter Melissa Gladwell of Charlotte, NC; and grandson Adam Gladwell, of active duty U.S. Army; siblings include: sister Nancy Holt and brother Edgar Holt, Jr.
Private interment will be in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
