Daniel Reavis was the son of Isham Reavis Sr (1748-1835) and Matilda Anne Jones (1750-1803).

According to the book, "The Reavis family in America since 1700" (being the descendents of Edward Reavis, immigrant from England, who settled on the James River in the Colony of Virginia ) by Marie Reavis Hall - Daniel Reavis died on 19 Jan 1834 on a steamer where he was working on the Mississippi River of cholera (somewhere between New Orleans and Vicksburg).

I would think he would have been buried in this cemetery, the Reavis Family Cemetery in Francisco, where two of his brothers are buried (assuming his body was able to be returned to his family).

Daniel married Lucy Rollins on 20 Jan 1806 in Warren County, Kentucky; they had the following children:
Louisa, b. 1806, m. Alexander Conner
Mark, b. 1810
Rebecca Lucinda, b. 1812
Solomon, b. 1815
Bedford, b. 1817
Harriet, b. 1819, m. James Hopkins
Malinda, b. 1821
Elizabeth Ann, b. 1812
Martha "Patsy" (1826-1873) m. John Ayres

In 1818, Daniel Reavis and his brother Isham Jr and their families moved from Kentucky to Gibson County, IN - where their brother William Reavis had relocated to the previous year (near the current town of Francisco, IN).
