Wedding vows were exchanged by Miss Carol Louan Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jenkins, Stafford, Kansas and William Hansen Talley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bailey H. Talley, 1109 North Third street, Saturday, June 11, at 4:30 p.m. in the Methodist church at Stafford, Kansas when Reverend Glen Palmer officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Pedestal baskets of white stock, pink daisies with huckleberry greenery flanked by four cathedral candelabras each bearing seven white tapers.

Pewcaps were marked with white satin and net bows tied with sprigs of huckleberry.

Mrs. Jack Warnock, organist, played the traditional wedding marches and the prenuptial preplude.

Miss La Donna Edwards, Sayre sang. "O Promise Me", "Whither Thou Goest" and "The Lord's Prayer".

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a gown of camellia white tulle and imported Chantilly lace over taffeta fashioned with a deep shoulder neck-line, shortsleeves and princess bodice designed with a bustle of tulle extending into a sweep train over the bouffant skirt. Her double fingertip veil of imported illusion cascaded from a cap of satin trimmed lace. Her only jewelry(sic) was a strand of pearls, gift of the groom, and her mitts were in matching lace with pearls. The bride's bouquet was pink rosebuds and baby breath showered with stephanotis.

Miss Caroline Ewy, Kansas City, Kansas was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Cordelia Adams, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Warren Beevers, Detroit, Michigan. They wore identical gowns of pink embroidered nylon with draped neckline, bouffant skirts and pink maline picture hats. Their colonial bouquets were of Esther Reed daisies and pink carnations.

Best man was Pat Hare, Stillwater, cousin of the groom.

Ushers were Don Gooch, Guthrie, Don Coffin, Guthrie and Art Puckett, Sayre.

The mother of the bride wore a rose silk shantung dress with black patent accessories and white gloves. Her rose shantung hat was trimmed with rhinestones and velvet ribbon and her corsage was of white carnations.

The mother of the groom was attired in a navy Chantilly lace dress over taffeta with bolero and her accessories were navy with pink gloves. Her corsage was of pink carnations.

A reception was held in the church parlors with Mrs. Clara Nowell, Mrs. R. E. Bowman and [Mrs. Walter E. Ewy, all of Stafford, assisting.

Miss Mary Joyce Goodman, Pratt, Kansas served the cake and Miss Marion Kofstrom, Ellenwood, Kansas presided at the crystal punchbowl.

The brides table was enhanced with a three tiered wedding cake decorated with wedding bells and garlanded with similac and pink rosebuds.

A wedding trip was taken to the northwestern coast including Canada and the coastal islands.

For travel the bride chose a princess styled black silk frock with white accessories and her corsage was of pink rosebuds.

A graduate of Oklahoma A. and M. at Stillwater with a B.S. degree in home economics, the bride also attended Colorado Women's college at Denver. She was active in the Alpha Delta Pi sorority.

With a BS degree in arts and science from the Oklahoma A. and M. college at Stillwater, Mr. Talley is a member of the arts and science student council, farm house fraternity and he lettered in band, football, basketball while in high school. Chosen best all around boy during his freshman year, he was also active in FFA.

The couple is at home at 515 North Ramsey, Stillwater, until August 15, when Mr. Talley will report to the US airbase at San Antonio, Texas as he was recently commissioned second lieutenant in the US airforce.

Attending from Sayre were Mr. and Mrs. Earl Edwards, Miss La Donna Edwards, Arthur Puckett, Mrs. T. O. Stephens, and Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Talley.
