Modene "Dene" Yocham, 83, of Houston, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 17, 2023.
Born on May 31, 1941, in Bronte, Texas, Modene was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Modene had a deep appreciation for beauty and art, which she expressed through her many paintings that will serve as a lasting testament to her talent. She was also a gifted pianist and artist, and her musical abilities extended to playing the violin as well. Modene's love for music and her devotion to her faith led her to serve as the pianist for various congregations throughout her life.
A 5th generation resident of Coke County, Modene attended Bronte ISD High School Class of 1959. She was deeply rooted in her community.
Modene was preceded in death by her father, Eldred McGuire and mother Mildred Stinebaugh McGuire of Bronte, TX.
Modene is survived by her children, Wayne Hail (Melanie), Tom Hail (Melissa), and Suzie Hail, as well as 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Laura Fountain, Charles McGuire (Carolyn), and Mary Ellen Brazeal (Kerry).
Modene was preceded in death by her former spouses, Will Hail and Jim Yocham.
A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bronte, TX.
The date and time of the service will be announced at a later date.
In the presence of Modene "Dene" Yocham, we witnessed the embodiment of strength, love, and faith. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell to Modene, let us find solace in the knowledge that she is now at peace, rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
