Simon A. Waters is the youngest son of John W. Waters, Sr., and Nancy Thompson Waters of Tattnall Co., Georgia. Simon A. Waters married Mary Ann Lougenia Waters circa 1880.

Sara Vashti Waters Kicklighter, youngest daughter of Simon A. Waters, told her daughter that her father, (Simon A. Waters) died when Sara Vashti was three months old. That would put Simon's death date about May 1886.

Simon A. Waters died before the August 1886 term of the Tattnall Co., Court. Thomas E. Waters petitioned for an appointment of persons to set apart for the widow and minor children of SIMON A. WATERS deceased, twelve months support. (Ref: Tattnall Minutes 1884-1896, image 25.)
