GEISEL, Ann Marie, passed away peacefully on August 15th, 2015, with a friend at her side. She was born in Springfield, MA, but lived most of her life in Wellesley. For a time, she lived in Atherton, CA, and in Madrid, Spain. She graduated in 1946 from Gamaliel Bradford Senior High School in Wellesley; in 1950, from Pine Manor College; in 1952 from Regis College, BA Spanish, and; in 1958, from Middlebury College, M.A. She went on to study toward a PhD at Boston College. She taught Spanish and Latin at Walnut Hill School in Natick, and Spanish at Wellesley High School and Mass Bay Community College. She was also a freelance Spanish language editor and tutor. She was a devoted Catholic, believing that all masses should be said in Latin. She is pre-deceased by her father, Eugene Noe Geisel, and her mother, Josephine Flumere Geisel, of Wellesley. She had a generous heart, and will be missed by many, including her sister, Ruth Geisel Mansergh, and her nephew, Woody Mark Mansergh, of Millbrae, CA; her niece, Melanie Mansergh Barry, of Manteca, CA; and her cousin, Gail Flumere Downey, of Natick. May she see Our Lady, Mary, again and say the rosary for all.
