Green Berry Adcock and wife Matilda M Lathan married 1842 in Sumner, Tennessee. Green and Matilda lived in Todd, Kentucky in 1850 census where James K Polk Adcock was born in 1846. Sarah Elizabeth was born 1850 in Kentucky, James Andrew Adcock was born 1853 in Kentucky. Green along with brother Burgess Adcock and their families settled in Cedar County, Missouri. Martha Elizabeth was born 1858 and died 1859 in Cedar, Missouri. Charles Grayson Adcock was born 1860 in Cedar, Missouri. Green drew the plat for Cedar and was Postmaster. After Green's death in a Union Prison Camp Matilda remarried a William L Welch and had another daughter Harriet F Welch in 1867.
