Joseph Anthony Santa was born in New York City in 1894. By 1910, the Santa family (Leo, Minnie and their seven children including 16-year-old Joseph) had relocated to Wilkes-Barre PA. Joseph served in the U.S. Army during World War I, stateside, from July through December 1918. At the time of his death in November 1939, Joseph was sales manager for the Ideal Furniture Company, South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
