MINEOLA — Jody Beth Ashley, 72, of Mineola died Feb. 4, 2008, in Tyler. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Broad Street Church of Christ in Mineola with Steve Neville and Lee Peters officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola.

The daughter of the late Curney Thomas and Beulah Elizabeth Baker Swindell, she was born June 8, 1935, in Greenville. She was married to Everett Ashley on Oct. 9, 1952. She had lived in Mineola since 1989 and was a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ.

Surviving are her husband of Mineola; two sons, Sam Ashley of Tampa, Fla., and Tommy Ashley of Edmond, Okla.; daughters Pam Henry of Melissa, Kathy Phillips of Mena, Ark., Lisa Beasley of Lindale and Kelley Bagby of Edmond, Okla.; and two sisters, Aletha Kilian of Van and Venita Terrien of Williamsburg, Va.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Ray Phillips; brothers Aulman Swindell, Granville Swindell and Verl D. Swindell; and two sisters, Myrl Qualls and Theola Ashley.

Pallbearers are Wes Borchardt, Joshua Ashley, Bryan Bagby, Grayson Bagby, Sammy Ray Ashley, Timothy Beasley and Chris Beasley.

Memorials may made to the Delafield Scholarship Fund.
