Helen G. King, 100, of Milesburg, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2023, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Helen was born on Dec. 12, 1922 in Milesburg, a daughter of the late Hugh J. and Gertrude Felmlee Runkle.

On Sept. 22, 1957 she married Donald L. King, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1989.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Bonnie L. (James) Watson, of Milesburg; her two grandchildren, Steven J. (Tonie) Watson, of Goldsboro, N.C., and Samantha D. Watson (Adam Lawrence), of Buena Vista, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Brody Watson.

Helen was a homemaker and she collected sewing thimbles. She was a member of Church of The Good Shepherd of Bellefonte. Helen was the last of her generation.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lydia A. Stewart, Hugh Runkle, Dorothy Schreffler, Mildred Yorks, Rella Bratton and LeRoy Runkle, who was wounded in WWII.

Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
