Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Shrader Funeral Home, 431 S. Vine Street, Arthur. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Block Church Cemetery near Greenup. Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral service.
Jane was born May 30, 1948 in Hazard County, Kentucky, the daughter of Naomi Devers. She married Vernon Atterberry in Champaign on June 25, 1980; he preceded her in death on March 29, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Greg) Roan of Hammond; son, Michael (Donna) Schomburg of Champaign; stepdaughters, Tonya Atterberry and Patricia (Roger) Bean both of Dixon, Missouri; stepsons, Brad and Joe Atterberry, Rodney and Dale Templeton; sister, Melissa Holbrook of Kentucky; many grand kids and great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Schomburg; stepson, Jesse Atterberry; and stepdaughter, Bridgett Atterberry; 7 siblings.
Jane graduated from Urbana High School. She was a waitress at the Eagles Club in Mattoon. She attended the Cowboy Church in Arthur and loved to listen to the Gunny Sack Review.
