OBITUARY
Hollis Bowman was born in Tennessee on October 12, 1860; died near Weleetka on June 7, 1929 at the age of 69 years, 7 months and 27 days.
When a child he moved with his parents to Alabama where he grew to manhood and was married to Miss Dora Morgan. To this union were born nine children, three of whom have passed on to the Great Beyond. Those surviving are: John of Elmore City, George of Wetumka; Mrs. Minnie Williams, Joe Henry and Bascomb all of Weleetka, all of whom are present today.
Mr. Bowman was a member of the Methodist Church while in Alabama, but never moved his membership to this state. About nine years ago he united with the Pentecostal Church.
Funeral services were held at the Hillcrest cemetery Saturday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock with Rev. W. J. Gray pastor of the Methodist church, officiating.

Obit states he had 9 children. I have found 8 of the 9 either in cemeteries or on the census. However, he reportedly had a son Oscar that died as a baby. This is possibly "Baby Bowman" without dates that is buried in same cemetery.

Below notes from original memorial creator would mean there was a 10th child, which on the 1910 census Dora stated she had 8 children, 6 living (the 9th child was born after the census)
"children not connected to the parents:
Oscar Bowman born and died 05 May 1899 AL"
