Her parents were William Arthur Imhof and Grace Lucille "Gillispie" Imhof. She married Austin Warren Bray On July 30, 1934. They were parents of Ronald Warren Bray and Toy Lee Bray. After they divorced, Violet married Tobias (Tobe) Munday on June 7, 1942. They were the parents of Sarah Jane "Munday" (Barrett) and Frank John Munday. After Tobe's death Violet married Woodrow Gillen.
Her ashes are buried in Beulah Cemetery, Colby, Thomas County, Kansas.
