Mr. Arvey Baham, 89, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 8:05 P.M. in a Slidell hospital. A native of Uneedus, LA, Mr. Baham had lived in New Iberia for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having earned a Bronze Star Medal while serving in the European Theater of Operations. Mr. Baham was a truck driver for A&P Grocery Store, and he enjoyed vegetable gardening in his spare time.

Survivors include his son, Michael Baham of Metairie; daughter, Annelle Baham McGovern and husband, Daniel of Slidell; grandson Zachary L. Broussard of Campobello, SC; granddaughter, Scarlett D. McGovern; of Slidell, brother, Martin Baham of Ponchatoula; and sisters, Azalea Faulkner and Allie Bourgeois, both of Independence.

Preceding Mr. Baham in death were his wife, Lucille Drago Baham; parents, Joseph M. and Misoura Pierre Baham; and brother, Smith Baham.

Entombment in St. Peter Cemetery. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia, is in charge of arrangements.
