For more than 60 years, Janie was very active at ChristChurch Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Women and the Hospitality Committee. She also enjoyed serving in the kitchen and helping drive homebound church members to various church events. She also was a volunteer at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital for 18 1/2 years. Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas E. Fisher, and is survived by her brother, Arthur Owens and wife Nancy; nieces, Angela Alcorn, Jennifer Young and Kimberly Owens; and her great niece and nephew, Abigail and Trey Romero.
