Deborah Galentine-Pennell, 54, went home to be with the lord unexpectedly on September 25, 2006, in the comfort of her own home in Columbus. She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family.

She is preceded in death by parents Arnold and Necie (Collins) Dean, sister Reba Gillespie and brother Melvin Dean.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Galentine; children, Tammy (Robert) Bailey, Terry (Deborah) Galentine, Cathy (Joe) Harris, Tammy (Lawren) Conkel; grandchildren, Robert Bailey Jr. (Julie Day), Farron Bailey, Terry Galentine Jr., Bailey Galentine; and grandson by guardianship, Daniel Day, all of Columbus; sisters, Lenora Morgan of Riverside, California, Loretta Clouser of San Francisco, California, Janet Dean of South Point, Geneva Ellis of South Webster, and Evelyn Powell of Pataskala; brothers, Kenneth Dean of Pataskala, Gomer Dean of Reynoldsburg, Douglas Dean of Pedro, and Gary Dean of Otway.

She retired from her job at the division of Ohio Motor Vehicles, where she was an employee for 20 years.

Funeral service will be held at the KUHNER-LEWIS FUNERAL HOME in Oak Hill, Ohio at 1 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Kenny Jiles officiating. Burial will follow at Buckhorn Cemetery in Lawrence County, Ohio. Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
