Roger Elswick, 49 of Elkhorn City, Ky. was born on Nov.14, 1973 in Pikeville, Ky. and passed away at home on Friday, Sept. 1, 2023. He is the son of Frances Wright Elswick and the late B. J. Elswick. Roger was a coal truck drive. Survivors in addition to his mother, Frances, are sons; Mason Elswick of Elkhorn City, and Cody Allen Slone of Cincinnati, Ohio, a sister; Kelly Branham of Wolfpit, Ky. and 2 grandchildren; Dallen and Deacon Slone. Visitation will be from 6:00-10:00PM on Monday, September 4, 2023 in the chapel with Jerry Overstreet and Larry Puckett officiating. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023 in the chapel. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery at Draffin, Ky.
