Bob was born April 28, 1950, in Manitowoc to Charles and Florence Dietrich. He graduated from Lincoln high School in 1968. He joined the National Guard shortly after graduating and worked at Parker in Manitowoc until he retired in 2014. On August 4, 1995, Bob married his best friend, Sue. When he retired, they bought a cottage in Little Sturgeon. He loved fishing, being a member of the Whitelaw Sportsman's Club, mentoring youth with fishing, and Relay for Life. Bob's grandkids were a great joy in his life. He taught them to fish and shoot and attended countless sporting events, grandparent days, and graduations. Highlights were watching two of his grandsons win a state football championship at Camp Randall Stadium, watching his granddaughter earn a black belt in karate, and watching his oldest grandson run at the state sectional track meet.
