A memorial service honoring her life will be conducted at 2:00 on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in the chapel of Joseph W. Jones Funeral Home of Leesburg. The family will visit with friends following the service.
Born March 19, 1948, in Blakely, she was the daughter of the late George A. "Byrd" Davis and Etteen Temples Davis. She spent her years as a loving homemaker caring for her family and was known as a wonderful cook. She enjoyed going to the beach, listening to music, and in her younger days loved to dance. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family, her special friend Frank, and her beloved cat Chip. Mrs. Barron was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Blakely and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Barron; grandson, Dalton Ray Gallops; and her siblings, Billy Davis, James "Buck" Davis, Betty Sue Davis, Tony A. Davis, Linda Davis, George "Scaper" Davis, and Peggy Willoughby.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Wanda Gallops and her husband Ray of Box Springs, Laura Stone and her husband Jack of Leesburg, and Jill Moore of Albany; grandchildren, Johnny Gallops, Ande Stone, Josh Moore, Lexie Stone, and Ryan Moore; great grandchild, Kadence Rae Gallops; her siblings, Jimmy Davis and Alice and Loretta Alexander; several nieces and nephews.
