O P McCampbell, who was in his 85th year, died at his home a few miles north of here Wednesday, October 1, after an illness of several months. Burial was at Tollet's Chapel Thursday.
He is survived by 3 sons, Walter, Selina, California; John and Oscar, Crossville; a daughter, Mrs W L Beggs, Jacksonville, Fl; 2 sisters, Mrs Maude Parish, Berkely, Ca; Mrs W C Comstock, Knoxville; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
Mr McCampbell was born in Greeneville. He married Miss Margaret Adkisson of Morgan County on October 14, 1885. He had lived in this county 23 years and was a farmer. Before that he was engaged in handling livestock.
