SERVICES HELD FOR ADOLPH ZILKA
Funeral services for Adolph Zilka, 82, were held on Monday afternoon from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church at Carlsburg. The Rev. E. C. Leyerer, of Clare, officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.
Mr. Zilka was born in Poland on March 20, 1871. He lived in Cleveland, Ohio, until 1904, at which time he moved to Gladwin county. Last November he went to Lansing to live with his daughter, Mrs. Helen Wagoner, where he passed away after a week's illness, on Friday, March 27. The first Mrs. Zilka preceded him in death in June, 1933. He was later married to Mrs. Pauline Eiker, who survives him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Walter Zilka, of Gladwin; three daughters, Mrs. Delia Fanslow of Gladwin, Mrs. Lillian Brandt of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Wagner of Lansing; also five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers at the service were Henry Yeager, Ed Schiemann, Gust Kliewoneit, Ewald Mielke, Karl Pretzlaff and William Fanslow.
