Rose Louk

Rose E. Louk, 69, of Gladwin passed away Monday, May 9, 2005 at her residence following a short illness. She was born in Marshall on Dec. 9, 1935 to the late Albert and Agnes (VanValkenburg) Parker. She married John Louk on July 3, 1952 in Mt. Morris. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1983. She worked for In Home Health Care and was a cook in various restaurants. Rose was a foster parent for over 30 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #11256 and the American Legion Post 171 and was post president.

She is survived by two sons, John and Allen Louk, both of Gladwin; two daughters, Rosemarie Baker and Ruthann Morley, both of Gladwin; seven grandchildren and 10 Great grandchildren; one step-daughter, Lillian McCrae of Flint; one brother, Ernest Parker of Traverse City; and one sister, Mary Baldwin of Flint. She was predeceased by two brothers.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 10 at the Sisson Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Hubbard presiding. The Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
